I've never seen so many people strolling the streets at 6 a.m. -- perhaps, in part, because I usually avoiding wandering the streets at 6 a.m. myself. But the St. Pauli fish market was a scene I'd been told to not miss. A combination of state fair, farmer's market and Saturday-night-hangover-cure, the market attracts hundreds of merchants, selling everything from just-caught fish, to produce, to miracle cleaning products. Many of the thousands in attendance looked more like they were still up from the night before, taking solace in fried sausages an beer while listening to a Bon Jovi cover band in one of the large halls.
